History The University of Business Studies was officially established in Banjaluka, in school year 2005\06 consisting of five Faculties. The teaching processes take place in a modern building that fully meets the highest standards in process of high education. The complex includes amphitheaters, classrooms, computer room, laboratories, libraries, student service center and administrative center. Mission statement The vision of the University of Business Studies is implementation of a new knowledge and a study skills programs through studying at the following faculties. Faculty of Business and Financial Studies Faculty of Applied Economics Faculty of Ecology Faculty of Journalism and Communications Faculty of Information Technology and Design Study programs are designed in accordance with the model of the famous European Universities, including European ECTS scoring system, internationally designed specific scientific field and a consortium of domestic and foreign professors. An educational objective of the University of Business Studies with its Faculties as organizational units is to provide general, theoretical and methodological knowledge, and specific professional practice and expertise. Accordingly, titles of students who graduate studies at the University of Business Studies are profiled as: Bachelor of Economic Studies, Bachelor of Law Studies, Bachelor of Informatics Studies, Bachelor of Design Studies, Bachelor of Ecology Studies, Bachelor of Journalism and Communications Studies. Qualifications acquired at the University include reintegrated practical knowledge which promotes business and human resource management, management in science and human resources, which is the objective of the University of Business Studies in the educational mechanism of the 21st century. Rooms, teaching resources and equipment The classrooms and laboratories are equipped with latest teaching resources. The University has a library and reading room containing all literature necessary for conducting and improvement of the academic process and scientific research. A computer room with the last generation computers and constant Internet access is available for students. Professional Training Education Students practice work, as well, their seminar thesis is prepared in cooperation with leading national and world news editorial offices, banks, insurance companies, hotel chains and tourist companies. We organize business meetings with other young and ambitious people. Employment After graduating at the University of Business Studies, all students will have high qualifications in the studied areas. Our graduates can perform almost all activities in public and private enterprises, multinational companies, foreign representatives, new business entities, domestic and foreign banks, tax and customs administrations, dealer exchanges and brokerage houses, insurance companies, social institutions and retirement funds, investment companies, local governments, law and educational institutions, accounting and monitoring companies, budget and fund institutions and foreign exchange transactions, communications and media, design and information business, journalistic, managerial and marketing market segmentation, promotion, exports and imports and global branding.
